Once again, I fail at updating...
Life has been pretty repetetive but pretty busy at the same time. One of the microbiologists in the lab left, so we're down to two. And with our audit coming up on the 15th, we are pretty hectic here. I've been working really hard to not pull too much overtime, since they really don't like that here. I just hope they find another person or two to start in here soon.
I have two more medical school interviews lined up, one on September 11 at Texas A&M, and the other on the 19th at Texas Tech. I really hope they go well, especially Texas Tech because I already know some people in Lubbock. I guess if it is meant to be I'll get in! I also have an interview lined up at a PA school in Pennsylvania, but that isn't till October. I think after shadowing PA's and MD's I have decided that my first choice is definitely MD. I know there are a lot of pluses to both, I just don't think my personality is such that I would be as happy as a PA. I jsut like to take charge and solve problems and I wouldn't get to do that as much as a PA. But if it is PA or nothing, I'll take it!!!
I started my anatomy class at UVU on Tuesday. I am so glad I am taking this all by itself and not with a bunch of other classes. I'm taking it cuz it's a prereq for most PA schools, but even if I do med school it will still be worth it cuz it'll make first year a ton easier. Anyway, I'm kinda scared cuz we learned a lot on our first day, and my brain isn't quite back into lecture listening mode...
Anyway, that is pretty much all the exciting stuff that's happening in my life lately! I'll definitely update after my interviews though!

Wow, I am terrible at this whole updating thing. Anyway, here goes...
4th of July weekend I went home to shadow some PA's my dad set me up with. That was cool, although I am leaning more toward being an MD instead after that. But we'll see what happens, I am applying to both so I'll go wherever I get in!
Lake Powell was fun, Kriton had a blast, pictures will maybe come later if I ever update this at home instead of at work :)
Breaking Dawn FINALLY came out! I bought it saturday at around 2, didn't start reading till about 4, and finished by about 4 AM. I would have finished faster but I still had wifey responsibilities to take care of, and lexa would not let me read in peace, she kept attacking my book like" look at meeee!!!! Stop reading!!!! I want attention!!!!" It was cute but annoying. Anyway, I think I am among the minority of people who actually enjoyed this book. I won't go into any more details unless asked, I don't want to spoil this for anyone :). Let's just say that I really enjoyed it, although it had a much different feel than the first three, and leave it at that.
Finally, I had a Medical School interview yesterday!!!! I was soooo excited to get it because it was the first interview session of the season, so I assume that means they liked me! It was at University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (it's a mouthful isnt it?) I left Sunday Morning about an hour after I finished Breaking Dawn :) and got back last night pretty late. Needless to say, I am pretty exhausted. It was cool though, because there were 3 other interviewees there from BYU, and we were the only ones there not from Texas! I thought that was really cool. It was also cool that two of them had the same flight as me from San Antonio to Phoenix afterwards, and one had the same one to Salt Lake as well. It was nice to have someone I knew on the plane to talk to. Anyway, keep your fingers crossed for me!
So that's pretty much all the exciting points of my life recently, hopefully I'll have more news soon about interviews and stuff!

More Pics of my Babies!
So alexa absolutely loves my computer, which is cute but annoying at the same time, cuz she tries to lay on my keyboard while I am working on it. I left for a sec and came back to her trying to be like mommy :)

She loves getting wrapped up in her little pink blanket, especially with a warming pad in there with her. She's my little princess!

I officially have the wierdest pets ever. They will cuddle with each other all the time. These pictures aren't posed, jase just walked in on the two of them like this:
I'm just glad they're getting along with each other so we don't have to worry about turbo eating lexa while we are gone :)

Random Update
Life has been really quite busy lately, but here are some updates...
Jase's airsoft business is going strong and he is loving it, especially the fact that he gets paid to play and be a kid. Kriton is doing great, getting bigger every day! Although he is a little trouble maker sometimes, we still love him! Turbo is also doing wonderfully, all 100 lbs of him :)
I am super busy lately with work, tutoring, and the independent study classes I am taking. I'm taking a few classes prepping to hopefully get into PA school. Yes, that's right, I did not get into med school. But I have been thinking that maybe there is a good reason for that, that the lifestyle of a doctor wouldn't be right for me. I have been talking to my dad and Matt and PA (physician assistant) school looks really appealing, actually better than med school for my situation. It's only two years long instead of four with no residency, and the schedule of a PA is much better to have a family. My dad says too that PA's are in really high demand now. I won't be making quite as much money, but that isn't really a big concern of mine. I just wish I had decided all this before I took the MCAT :). What I really nee to do now is find myself a part time health care job that I can get experience, cuz most programs require at least some experience to get accepted. I have applied to a few CNA jobs around here, we'll see if I get anyone calling me back. If anyone knows of any jobs, let me know! It has to be a part time evening/weekend gig, cuz I don't want to leave my job right now, we can't afford that drop in pay, and I like my job that I get to sit around all day and do homework :). I'm hoping to start really soon, cuz I want to get my applications in ASAP.
Oh, in other news, we're getting a kitten! My cousin's cat had kittens and so I get to have one when they're old enough. I picked out ours already. She's black with white feet, belly, and face. She's so cute! She fits into the palm of my hand right now. I'll try to post pics later on, I don't have them onto my computer yet.

So I figured that since life is pretty boring right now, I'd post some pictures from the past six months or so...

Kriton and his friend Kylar opening Kriton's birthday presents in October.
The fam in our halloween costumes- Elektra, Special Ops Soldier, and Spiderman
Me and Peanut at the Ward Trunk or Treat!
Peanut with the Gingerbread house we made!
Our puppy Turbo! He's only 11 months old but weighs about 100 lbs!
Jase at the bowling alley...
Jase and I went to the Roof restaurant at the Joseph Smith Building on Temple Square for Valentine's Day! It was amazing!
So as I said, life has been pretty boring lately, we have been working hard and playing hard. We just wish we could play more :)
